Description
This is a brooch I made for my grandma. She's one of the most important people in my life and I wouldn't know where I would be without her.
The assignment for this project was to create an "Award" for something incorporating reticulated silver into the piece. I chose to make a "Best Grandma Award".
The heart is reticulated silver with a jade stone set in the top corner. The sunflower in the center has granulated sterling silver in the center. The butterfly is copper with twisted brass wire for the body and my grandma's initials are stamped into the bottom wings. The curls that frame the flower are also sterling silver.
